About This Item

London: Arrowsmith, 1891. First edition, first printing. Published by Arrowsmith in London, 1891. This is a near fine copy. Issued without a dust wrapper, the mustard-yellow clothbound boards are markedly clean and the black tooling clean. The spine is slightly sunned and the gilt to the spine is also bright. The front and rear hinges are tight. The preliminaries have some slight toning. This copy is free from previous owners ink. The text blocks are bright and clean throughout. Overall, this is a near fine copy. It tells of a trip undertaken by Jerome and his friend "B" to see the Oberammergau Passion Play in Germany.
