London: John Murray, 1824. Leather. Very Good. 7.5" by 5". None. Two volumes of Matthews' account of his time travelling to warmer climates for his health. Two volumes. Fourth edition. A detailed account of the author's experiences upon leaving England in 1817 due to ill health. On his return, the work was published and became so popular that by 1835 it has reached a fifth edition. Matthews writes light and pleasant sketches of Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, and France. Written by Henry Matthews. In half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, very smart with light bumping to the extremities. Rubbing to the head and tail of the spine as well as joints. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd spot. Very Good
