(1st) Slightly smaller book, black cloth spine, dark gray boards, silver and red lettering very fine on spine, ink note at top of first front end paper, 316 lightly browned pages of essays from Saturday Review: Millay, Lord Dunsany, Frost, Dante and more. DJ price-clipped, gray background to front and spine with sketch of Ciardi on front, excerpts on back, white back slightly and uniformly browned. DJ has very slight wear to bottom front tip, nick and microtears with slight wear along spine top edge, two microtears at spine bottom left and right edge, very slight surface wear to long spine edges. Good+ DJ/Fine+ book.
