Hardback, undated but circa 1920 (prizegiving bookplate from 1930 to front free endpaper), early edition and possible first edition, illustrated, published by Partridge, London, 248 pages.
Octavo/8vo, measures around 7 1/2" by 5 1/4" by 1 1/2". No dust jacket. Red cloth binding, black lettering and pictorial detail to front board and spine. Marking, scuffing and some discolouration to binding and a little puckering to cloth on front board. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges, small tears to head and tail of spine, slightly bumped and torn corners. Some slackness to binding, crack to front inner hinge with netting exposed and some strain throughout. Page edges browned, scuffed, marked and a little foxed. A little marking, foxing to endpapers, prizegiving bookplate to front free endpaper. A little foxing and some thumb marking to page surfaces throughout but no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
