About This Item

London: Hutchinson & Co. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. N.d., [ca. 1946?]. 132nd thousand. Scarce DJ. Full black cloth. 245 pp. Bruising to spine ends and corners, some very light soiling to cloth. Foxing to endpapers. Dust jacket edge worn, chipped to spine ends (with some loss), acidified tape repairs to spine ends, some toning, foxing to reverse, light general soiling. Here is an enthralling romance of a beautiful woman snared by the Satanists through her clairvoyant powers, and of a young man brought to the verge of madness by endeavouring to secure occult aid in his financial operations. Against this terrific background of the occult, where ancient rituals are employed for the furtherance of lust and gain, three men, another woman and a child fight a terrible weaponless battle invoking the Powers of Darkness and save their friends, who have become involved, from final ruin. 0.
