About This Item
London: Priestley and Weale, 1833 "The Gate Lodge is a feature of considerable importance, inasmuch as it should indicate the character of the structure to which it affords an approach. To this purpose I have endeavoured to vary my designs, beginning with the humblest, and ascending to the castellated style indicative of a residence of the highest class." Twelve designs each comprising a scenic view, a plan, a front elevation and a side elevation. 48 lithographic plates, drawn by the architect author and printed by Hullmandell. 29 of which have varying degrees, but mainly light foxing. The scenic views ane decorative and well executed.

About Wadard Books PBFA
The shop of Wadard Books is located in a listed 17th century timber framed building in the historic Kentish village of Farningham. The business is named after Wadard, one of Farningham's Domesday landlords, a henchman of Bishop Odo and featured on the Bayeaux tapestry.
