About This Item

New York, NY Alfred A. Knopf: Borzoi Books, 1942. Hardcover First Edition, so stated. First Edition, so stated. Very Good: shows virtually no wear, but the backstrip is sun-darkened (the titles thereon remain unaffected: bold and clearly legible); mild rubbing; faint, but pervasive soiling; a dampstain near the upper rear corner (this hasn't penetrated the book or caused any consequences except the stain). The binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Despite these minor flaws, remains structurally sound and tightly bound: a clean, sturdy, reasonably presentable copy. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 388pp + a nine-page Index. Fold-Out Map. Hardback: Lacks DJ.
