London: Privately Printed, Harrison & Sons, 1889. First Edition. Hardcover. VERY GOOD PLUS. London, Privately printed, Harrison & Sons, 1889. First edition. 8 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches: pp. xxiv, 240. Tthree-quarter bound leather boards with gilt stamped coat of arms on front board. Tooled spine. Marbled endpapers, five raised bands, with presentation plate inside front cover; all edges gilt.

Some rubbing/scuffing to leather. Binding tight, pages bright and clean.

First Edition. Printed for private circulation: Armorial bookplate on front pastedown indicates this is a presentation copy, given to Thomas Cradock Watson "by the Master and Wardens of the Saddlers Company, Saddlers Hall, Cheapside, E.C., Jan 10, 1896." Illustrated with several fold out plates, many of which were changed or altogether eliminated in the later edition. Presented to liverymen on admission to the Guild, this proved an invaluable resource for learning the history and the inner workings of the group and the trade.
