Covers what we know as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan.As author of this work and the East-India Gazetteer, Hamilton created for the British reader a detailed view of distant parts of the Empire.Condition of these books:Overall very good and clean, short tears in preliminary leaves and in lower center of map, hinges cracked in V1, V2 has been rebacked with neat tape repairs to hinges. Moderate wear and bumping to covers. Size: Quarto. 2-volume set (complete). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting.
