Grenoble: Bordas èditeurs Grenoble, 1945. Limited edition. Softcover. fair to vg. 765/860. Folio. 172 double-pages loose resting in stiff wraps illustrated with an etching protected by glassine. One-inch of wrapper at head on spine missing. Few inches of glassine at head and tail of spine missing. Signed by illustrator and publisher on colophon. "Eaux-fortes de J. A. Carlotti." Illustrated with 22 full-page & in-text etchings by J. A. Carlotti. Each plate is protected by a loose tissue-guard. "500 Exemplaires sur rives B. K. K. a la forme numerotes de 361 a 860." Text in French. Glassine and wraps in fair, interior in very good condition. Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz (1878-1947), was a French speaking Swiss poet and novelist and acknowledged leader of the "Renaissance Vaudoise." Derborence was first published in 1935. Most of Ramuz's works deal with the simple people of his native canton of Vaud.
