About This Item
New York, NY Charles Scribner's Sons, 1955. Hardcover First Edition USA (1955), so stated. The first German edition was published in 1953. Twenty-six pages early in the text show light, neat PENCIL UNDERLINING. Else, Fine in Very Near Fine DJ: The Book shows just a touch of mottling near the interior gutter; else flawless; the binding is square and secure. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome, like-new copy, showing a single, very minor flaw. Virtually 'As New'. The DJ shows very mild rubbing; faint soiling to the background field of the rear panel, a couple of very faint wrinkles at the outside edge of the front panel; a former bookseller's - or perhaps the publisher's - rubber-stamped price at the upper corner of the front inside flap; mylar-protected. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (8.75 x 5.75 x 0.5 inches). 92 pages. Translated by Neville Horton Smith. Language: English. Weight: 8.8 ounces. First Edition USA (1955), so stated. The first German edition was published in 1953. Hardback with DJ.
