The contents have been trimmed resulting in loss of printed material pages 3 and 4 and some loss of lettering bottom of page 7. The spine has two old paper repairs. Page 8 is almost detached. The Democratic party claims "the dangers of 1798 have returned upon us in 1864 with large increase, and with the excitement, violence and ruin natural to a most deplorable, monstrous, unconstitutional war, mercilessly but uselessly waged between two great sections of the Union for mutual extinction. The object in publishing the resolutions is to extricate the Democracy from their present dangers..." Scarce 7 copies located in OCLC
