A work seeking to support the practice of Spiritualism and the communication with afterlife, citing the examples of mediums such as Kate Fox and Daniel Hume, among others, as well as discussing spirit photographs, etc. By British naturalist Alfred R. Wallace. GOOD condition. Moderate dampstaining to the wrappers. Some soiling and staining. Heavy chipping, tearing and creasing along the extremities. Minor soiling in the interior. Owner's gift inscription on the title page. Parts of two sentences underlined in red on page 11.
