This official interim report issued in 1941 outlines the purpose and achievements of the small British force that disembarked in the French port of Calais during May 1940 to defend and keep the port open and establish lines of communication with Dunkirk. Despite their eforts, within weeks Calais also fell to the German Blitzkrieg.
