Ownership inscription on front fly leaf. Jacket soiled with large tears and losses to head and bottom front cover, as well as head and tail of spine affecting text. Smaller tears to edges and extremities. Spine and boards rubbed, corners bumped with wear to edges. Image of a trapper on front board, with text: "The Ballantyne Books" Heavy foxing throughout, otherwise in good condition. Robert Michael Ballantyne [1825-1894] wrote more than 100 popular adventure stories for youth. Deep Down, originally published in 1868, was inspired by the author's time spent with miners in Cornwall. 0.
