About This Item
Snyder, Texas is in Scurry County in West Texas, between Abilene and Lubbock. The town is named after Pete Snyder because he built a store there, although he only lived there for 4 years. Ironically, Snyder was a Union cavalryman in the Civil War while General Scurry was a confederate general. This is the story of the man and the town through diaries, letters and research. The book is in fine, like new condition. It was written for the Snyder Centennial year, 1984. This was a limited printing of which this book is #1273. The Author has signed on the first free fly leaf (no inscription).

About mark mcdonald
Book collector for over 30 years. I'm retired and ready to sell. I buy almost exclusively from estate sales and since I've lived in Dallas my whole life, I know the people and where to go. I am a low volume collector and seller and deal in higher quality books. I have a lot of signed and inscribed books. These signatures have not been officially authenticated, but I am confident in their authenticity so I will guarantee them in perpetuity if it can be reasonably demonstrated that the signature is incorrect. .
