Full aqua cloth. 251 pp. Spine tilted. Rubbing to extremities. Some offsetting to endpapers. Dust jacket is slightly age toned, some light spotting to front cover. The Deep has all the drama and suspense that made Peter Benchley's first novel, Jaws, a worldwide bestseller and the most successful film in history. A young couple go to Bermuda on their honeymoon. They dive on the reefs offshore, looking for the wreck of a sunken ship. What they find lures them into a strange and increasingly terrifying encounter.
