"Dudley Pope tells the story of the year of Trafalgar, painting in the historical background which led to the greatest and most important battle of the age of sail. Then, shot by shot and thrust by thrust, Trafalgar is fought again, seen through the eyes of admirals and ordinary semen, of the French and Spanish as well as the British.
