Josef Bohuslav Foerster (30 December 1859 to 29 May 1951) was a Czech composer.

First edition. - Cover damaged, worse at back, well preserved book block. Early taped repair to spine.

Debora. Opera in 3 acts. His first opera. Written in 1893. The libretto was a Rosenthal Jaroslav Kvapil drama. Op. 41 [vocal score with piano reduction].

A rare signature in itself.

Signed by the composer and Dated 30/12/1929.

In October 1850 Louis's younger brother, Gemmy, became a partner, and the firm of Troupenas was acquired. In 1854 Sélim-François Dufour became a partner and the firm was known as G. Brandus, Dufour & Cie. and, since 1858, as G. Brandus & S. Dufour.
