San Jose, CA: The Pacific Tree and Vine Co.. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1894. First Edition. Hardcover. Rebound in olive buckram with original spine and covers laid down. Presentation copy from L. Dow Stephens (1827-1921) to his cousin, and inscribed to him as such. Lorenzo Dow Stephens was the oldest surviving member of the original Jayhawkers who completed the trip with Manly. This inscription is followed by another PO gift inscription, dated 1937. Zamorano #51. Note: not authorial signature. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 498 pages; Signed by Author .
