collins 1973 VG/VG. no inscriptions or marginalia. spine of dj is very sunned/bleached. boards beneath are clean and bright. top edge of textblock is speckled - but not internally - shelf-life really. first edition. The harrowing story of the destruction of the french fleet at mers-el-kebir by the british navy - killing 1300 sailors - and the explanation for the same. well researched and detailed text with photographs.
