New York: The Mystery League, 1930. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Fine/Fine. 8vo., 286pp. Beautiful Stated First Edition, (American), originally published by Hodder & Stoughton in the UK in 1926. Bound in green cloth with titles stamped in black on front board and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with just a hint of wear to the spine ends and a gentle bump to the top front tip. Fairly small unobtrusive bookplate on front paste-down. Stunning unclipped, though unpriced, dust jacket is unblemished and comes with the very scarce wrap-around promotional band with a $1.00 price. Fresh and bright with no chipping, creases, toning or tears. A gorgeous collectable copy and quite uncommon in such condition. (Hubin, p.411).
