Willey Ley was one of the main figures that popularized rocketry in Germany and the United States. His predictions concerning rockets, in the book "Rockets - the Future of Travel Beyond the Stratosphere" (1944) acurately predicted the Saturn V rockets that were built 20 years later to reach the moon. While he was best known for rocketry, Ley also wrote many books on Zoology, including "Dawn of Zoology" which is a history of man's attempts to study the animals. . First Edition. Cloth. Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardcover.
