Corners, head and base of spine moderately bumped. Dust jacket has quarter-inch loss to the head of the spine, minor chipping to the base of the spine, and a closed tear to the bottom of the back endflap. Fore and bottom edge of text block deckled. near fine Limited edition of 500 copies, designed and with medallion woodcut to title page and first page by the early 20th century painter, book illustrator, designer and calligrapher Thoreau MacDonald, son of Group of Seven member J. E. H. MacDonald. An appealing, tactile copy. 1942
