In black/dark blue polished full morocco leather fine binding by “Zaehnsdorf.” Raised banding and gilt lettering to spine, full gilt page edging, and wide decorative inner dentelles. Marbled endpapers. In very good near fine condition. Very good clean smart cover. Endpapers clean, no penned inscriptions. A couple of minor light foxing spots to edge of title page and last index page. Else a very good clean and tight copy. xx + 427pp. Illustrated with 8 B&W full-page plates, and pedigree. (Without cover illustration as listed.) David Garrick (1717-79), the English actor, producer, dramatist, poet, and joint manager of the Drury Lane Theatre (1747-76).
