Octavo, jacket illustrated by Walter Kumme, light green buckram boards with gilt spine and cover imprinting, illustrated endpapers also by Kumme, top page edges dyed black, 303 pp. A Very Good book, fairly spoted on covers but otherwise without notable flaw, in a bright, clean, unclipped, better than VG jacket with some peripheral wear and a bit of foxing on the back panel. See scan. A scarce first printing of Weston's brooding novel about a war widow who enters an intricately swirling emotional state when she meets a man who seems nearly identical to her deceased husband. L-30n
