About This Item

London: Cassell, 2001. Very slight creasing to edges of unclipped dustwrapper, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Slightly misleading title: not really Celtic folklore, rather accounts of witchcraft and similar from (mostly) the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries from the Celtic areas of Britain and a couple from America; though the author claims that witches, fairy folk and suchlike have their origins in Celtic times. 256pp, some full-page b&w drawings.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Illus. by Whitson, Andrew. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
