New York: Harper & Brothers, 1933. First edition. Hardcover. Good/No jacket. 295 pages. A novel about a man's struggle with his gambling addiction and his love for a dog. Blue cloth binding with green wrapped drawing of racing grayhounds on cover and green titles on front cover, orange titles on spine, decorative end papers. Cover scuffed and a little soiled, some edge wear, corners and spine ends bumped, spine a bit faded, former owner's name "Robert M. Kenyan, Oliveora, Illinois" on front free end paper, interior pages lightly tanned, binding tight, remains of some sort of label at top corner of back fixed end paper.
