About This Item
John Lehmann. First UK edition published by John Lehmann in 1949. Translated by Richard Hare. This is a very good copy. The Humphrey Spender dust wrapper is complete and hasn't been price clipped. There is minor wear to the spine ends and corners. There is a smattering of spotting to the text block and to the first and last couple of pages. Overall a very good copy. A collection of short stories by the nobel laureate, mostly of russian life before the revolution. Regarded as Bunin's masterpiece. A very rare book and particularly so with the wrapper. . Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1949.
