Signed and inscribed by Kay to his friend Donna Walters on the title-page. Includes a laid-in letter signed by Kay telling Donna he was sorry about all the craziness at the book-signing event. Basis for the wonderful Halmark Hall of Fame movie starring Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy. Nice Pat Conroy blurb on rear cover. Light foxing to top gutter. Some toning to boards and light bumping to corners. A very scarce first printing to locate these days.
