About This Item
London: Oldbourne Press, 1956. First edition. Hardcover. Good/good. Green hardcover, first edition, in dustjacket. A good copy but with age-toning and foxing to the cover, some text pages, and textblock edges. General wear to the cover edges and bumping at the spine tips. The interior is unmarked in a solid binding, lacking tightness. The unclipped jacket is only barely good with short tears along the panel edges and crinkling at the bottom front panel from a longer tear - now protected in mylar. 192 pp., some black and white photos. Baker was one of the founding members of The Men of the Trees - a conservationist group.
