About This Item
Dallas, Or: Observer Printing Co, 1911. Very good.. 32pp. Oblong octavo. Original printed wrappers, stapled. A couple of creased and very short closed tears to wraps. Otherwise minor wear and dust soiling, even toning. Scarce, early 20th-century promotional for the other, less famous Dallas, located in the central Willamette Valley of Oregon, west of Salem. This booklet touts the town's lumber mills, pomiculture, agriculture, live stock and poultry farming, and several other industries. Advertised as well are the ample amenities of the town, its prospects for growth, the surrounding natural resources, and easy availability of land. With numerous reproductions of photographs, depicting fruit farms, prize-winning farm animals, logging mills, town buildings, and local scenes. OCLC locates only copy, at Yale.
