Stamp on cover of Women's Faculty Club. A fine copy. Other articles include, "Lee Oswald: A Study in Frantic Contradictions; The Kennedy Presidency" by Ernest R. May, " The Odds Favor the New President" by Gifford Phillips, and more. Frontier was a liberal West Coast political monthly founded in 1949 by Gifford Phillips (1918-2013) along with editor Phil Kerby. Frontier, among other things, exposed the blacklist in 1954 and continued until 1966 when it merged with The Nation of New York City. Phillips served as associate publisher of that magazine from 1966 to 1970. Laid in is a copy of Gifford Phillips' obituary..

The Argonaut Book Shop was founded in 1941 in the middle of the financial district of San Francisco. The Argonaut was a founding member of the Antiquarian Booksellers\' Association of America and has been a member in good standing ever since. The Shop is now located just three blocks from Union Square in downtown San Francisco and is open six days a week. Parking facilities include ample street space and a parking garage close by.
