Pp. 200, printed in various colour combinations, 16 coloured plates within pagination, numerous text illustrations (several printed in two colours), the title page with decorative border printed in red & black, pictorial endpapers; small cr. 4to; pictorial papered boards, edges of boards a trifle rubbed, the top fore-corner of upper board slightly bruised; dust wrapper (not clipped, but with no printed price on the front flap), slightly soiled, edges lightly rubbed and split, with a couple of tiny chips; inked ownership inscription at centre of title page, several small inked ticks or crosses to the General Knowledge Quiz on page 85, outer leaves and edges lightly foxed; Associated Newspapers Limited, London, n.d.[1958?]. *Includes a Biggles story, Dawn Patrol, by Captain W. E. Johns, which was later included, under the title The Trick that Failed, in Biggles Flies to Work (1963).
