With fourteen across seven volumes, complete.Public Edition copies. In the original Danish. These volumes offer an extensive history of Daily Life in the Nordics in the 16th Century. Volume one details the country and people, the second volume explores farmers and market town dwellings. Volume three explores manors and castles and volume four explores costume. Volume five explores food and volume six explores the every day and celebrations. Volume seven details annual feasts and volume eight discusses birth and death. Volume nine discusses engagement and volume ten explores wedding preparations. Volume eleven discusses the wedding itself and volume 12 explores marriage and morality. Volume thirteen details life lighting and volume fourteen discusses the end of life. Troels Frederik Lund was a Danish historian. With a frontispiece to volume one with in-text illustrations to volume four.Collated, complete. In quarter leather with marbled boards. Externally, very smart indeed, with very light marks to the boards. Some light rubbing to the heads and tails of the spines. Previous owner inscription to the page after the front free endpaper of all volumes. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good Indeed
