Some age-darkening to the spines of each volume, with volume two having a large moisture stain on the spine. Preliminary pages foxed, with very light foxing throughout. The first free endpaper and leaf immediately after in volume two loose, yet present. Overall a good set. Illustrated frontispiece in both volumes. Text in 2 column format; contents unmarked, pages toned; b/w illustrations.
