About This Item

London: Macmillan and Co. Ltd, 1952. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good,/Very Good,. A very sound, attractive copy. Octavo in publisher's original red boards with gilt titles to spine, 317 pages. Price-clipped dustjacket has a lightly faded spine, and very slight creasing / chips / soiling - very attractive nonetheless. Front flap of dustjacket stamped 'Macmillan\'s Overseas Library. This Library must not be circulated in the British Isles, the United States of America or Canada' i.e. Colonial Edition, but printed in Britain. Endpapers lightly bubbled at hinges during production. The book is a continuation of Sitwell's autobiographical excursions into the worlds of architecture, the arts and in this volume some particularly beautiful passages on dancing. The good deal of the last part of the book is taken up with flower descriptions. A very nice copy of this scarce item. Listing with Biblio since 2005, we guarantee our book descriptions, & post the next business day.
