Translated by Tatiana Firkusny, Maritza Morgan and Robert T. Jones. Illustrated by Maurice Sendak with full colour vignettes and full pages illustrations. This moving novel was written by Rudolf Tesnohlidek and tells the story of a heroic and courageous fox who must fight in order to survive. This classic tale was adapted into a three act Czech opera by Leo Janacek. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper.
