About This Item

New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons. Near Fine in Good dj. (c.1972). First Edition. Hardcover. [solid, clean copy, with only minor shelfwear to book; jacket has quite a bit of edgewear, with various small nicks and tears, tiny bits of paper loss at several corners, a ragged tear at top left corner of front panel (internally tape-repaired) with much associated creasing]. (B&W photographs) Basically an extended interview with director George Cukor, which began life as an American Film Institute oral history project; unlike some of those interviews, this one benefits from the participation of an intelligent, well-informed interviewer (who also happened to be a pretty terrific writer himself). The book's acknowledgments state that "the original tapes [of the interview] are now in the institute's library." Wonder if they can find them, nowadays? ****NOTE that properly packaged (in a box) this book will weigh slightly more than two pounds; therefore, an additional shipping charge will be assessed for international shipping, or for Priority Mail service to U.S. destinations. If this concerns you, please contact us for a shipping quote before placing your order.**** .

We are dedicated to the first-class treatment of every book we sell and its new owner (our customer). All orders and inquiries receive our prompt, personal attention.
