White cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine, under mainly red illustrated dustwrapper. 10.25ins x 7.25ins, illustrated endpapers, xxviii, 180pp, with many colour sketches within text. The introduction is typeset in the normal manner, the rest of the book is printed as a handwritten text. It comes from an original manuscript which dates from 1904 to 1909 recording the conversion of a tumbledown cottage on the edge of the New Forest. VG / VG.
