Thick coarse light brown end papers. Clean, crisp and tight with no reading wear, no marks to text, very light ageing to margins & top edge. VG+* Illustrations: None.* Pages: 151 pp. text.* Description: A welcome alternative to Brewers Phrase and Fable. Particular care was taken by the author to include only those numerous words and phrases which can be proved to have grown from some definite custom, or arising out of corrupted words of a past age. He was careful to exclude those which have merely grown into the language as slang, without any etymological foundation.* A VG copy with only minor faults reducing it to GD+. No dust jacket.*
