A ninth edition of this work, originally published in 1866. Containing four lectures discussing work, traffic, war, and the future of England. With an appendix on the economies and the kings of Prussia. By John Ruskin, English author and philosopher of the Victorian era, who authored works on a wide variety of subjects and topics including geology, myth, botany, and more. He lectured widely in the latter half of the nineteenth century, the present collection includes the celebrated lecture on 'Traffic' which discusses the relation between taste and morality, delivered in 1864 at Bradford Town Hall. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to the edges, affecting the first and last few leaves, otherwise the pages are generally bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed
