NOT ex-library. Hardcovers have maroon cloth-covered boards with paper spine labels. Deckle fore edges. Tissued frontispiece. Tissued black and white plates. Hinges NOT cracked. Volume 1 binding cracked at half title page; webbing visible, but pages not loose. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with minor fraying at tips. Covers have some light smudges and specks. Spine labels are tanned and have small chips at some corners. Endpapers lightly foxed. Pages clean and unmarked. Some page edges are uncut. 487 + 470 + 466 + 465 pages. No dust jackets. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
