About This Item

Paperback / softback. New. James Stephen (1758-1832) was a lawyer, anti-slavery advocate, and Member of Parliament. He argued that the French should not be allowed to reinstate older slavery practices on its West Indian colonies for fear of the consequences for the neighbouring British colonies. It was published in London in 1802.
