Fisher was born into a wealthy family in 1478 and became a monk in 1496. He quickly became one of the most influential monks in England and was appointed Archbishop of Canterbury in 1533. Cranmer was a devout and reform-minded cleric and helped lead the English Reformation. He was executed in 1540 for his beliefs, but his legacy lives on in the Anglican Church.; 8vo; 184 pages .
