About This Item
Dodd, Mead & Company, 1969. First edition. Hard cover. Like New/Very Good. Maclean, Robert. Signed by Author. The struggle of two coyotes to survive in the desert is paralleled by Papago Joe's efforts to earn his own way and to outwit the guard of a nearby prison camp who thinks the the young Indian has made a lucrative gold strike". Inscribed "1970 To Robbie, much love-the Kjelgaards". This is not an x-library copy, which is more commonly offered. A tiny tear and some light edgewear to dustjacket, else in Very Good+ condition. Scarce thus, particularly with dustjacket. Jim Kjelgaard passed away in 1959, so this has been inscribed by one of his family members.
