Biography of World War One combat pilot Billy Bishop, an ace who survived more than 170 air battles and was credited with 72 kills. Authored by his son, it is nonetheless a remarkably objective work about the life and times of the Ontario born hero, the first man in British military history to receive the Victoria Cross, the D.S.O. and the Military Cross in one ceremony. Fine in lightly foxed dust jacket with a smallclosed tear foot of the spine.
