Synopsis
Originally published in 1939, this classic tells the story of the Country Bunny, who wants to be an Easter Bunny. She is told that it is impossible, as she is a mother, a female, brown, and from the country. Will she be able to subvert the dominant paradigm? A tale ahead of it's time. Illustrated by Marjorie Flack Ages 4-8
Reviews
On Dec 5 2015, a reader said:
I love this book which was given to my 4 yr old brother for Easter back in 1954. I was born later that same year. Somehow, I have been the keeper of this book since and, every time I read - or, even think about this book - it brings tears to my eyes. This is, without a doubt, my all-time favorite children's book. I will be ordering for my great-nephew this coming 2016 Easter.
