About This Item
Boston: Richard G. Badger, 1909. First Edition. Cloth. Fair/No Jacket. Hardcover/ no DJ; Fair condition. Looks like First Edition; c. 1909- same year on title page & no note of further printings. 305 pages, b/w frontis w/ intact tissue protector (both have cleanly separated- as 1 unit- from binding). Green cloth binding shows some rubbing, soil, old scattered water spots on back cover, couple light curled corners- none of this severe. Light sun discolor to spine, but all red lettering on cover & spine intact & legible. Color cover paste-down illus. intact w/ some rubbing- not bad. NO significant bumps or fray. Missing front free endpaper. Narrow hinge splits inside covers- binding still well attached to text block. Text unmarked w/ light toning; a couple pages w/ foxing spots in margin. NO owner names, musty smell, etc.; NOT ex library. A decent representative copy. ***Reliable, fast! (1)
