London: Edward Arnold, 1909. First (limited) edition (hardback). 8vo (26cm by 19cm), xvi, 287pp. 64 colour plates by Helen Allingham, all mounted on card and protected by a tissue. Original white cloth, gilt titling to front board and spine, top edge gilt, others uncut. Boards a little rubbed, preliminary pages a little foxed, and one of the tissue protectors is torn. Overall, this book is in good to very good condition. This is number 212 of 500 copies of the de-luxe edition, signed by Helen Allingham on the limitation page.
